BMW C400 GT Launch On 12th October – Key Features Explained

BMW Motorrad will announce prices of the C400 GT on coming 12th October for the Indian market. The company has already dropped multiple teaser videos and images of the vehicle revealing interesting design and feature details. It will be the first maxi-scooter from the German two-wheeler maker in the country. While its official bookings will be commenced in coming days, select dealers have already begun taking orders at a token amount of Rs 1 lakh. Here’re the key details of the upcoming BMW C400 GT.

– At the heart of the BMW C400 GT is a 350cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine paired to a CVT automatic gearbox. The motor has been tuned for generating a maximum power of 33.5bhp (34PS) at 7500rpm and a peak torque of 35Nm at 5750rpm.

– The engine has been benefited with new ‘e-gas’ technology (updated throttle-by-wire system) along with the new oxygen sensor and catalytic converter. Its cylinder head and exhaust system have also been revised. It meets the Euro 5 emission standards. The maxi scooter can attain a top speed of 139kmph.

– For performing suspension duties, the new BMW scooter has telescopic forks at the front and dual shockers at the rear. Braking power comes from the dual disc brakes and single disc brake fitted at the front and rear axles respectively. The C400 GT has been assembled with the 15-inch front wheels with 120/70 tyre and 14-inch wheel at the rear with 150//70 tyre.

– The BMW C400 GT maxi scooter has been packed with lots of goodies including TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity, USB charging, traction control, riding modes, keyless operations and a revised automatic stability control.

– Some of its key design elements include full LED lighting system, a larger windscreen, sporty pillion grab rails, split-style footboards, step-up saddle with GT tag.

– Similar to the global model, the India-spec version could be offered in three paint schemes – Alpine White, Blackstrom Metallic and Moonwalkgrey Metallic.
