BMW C 400 GT Scooter Launching Soon: New Teaser Released

BMW Motorrad is all set to introduce its performance maxi-scooter, the BMW C 400 GT in the Indian market. The company has released a new teaser video with a tagline “Are You Ready To Stand Out & Be Distinctive? Stay Tuned.” This teaser shows the powerful apron-mounted LED headlamps, maxi-scooter like structure and other design elements of the scooter.

The BMW C 400 GT maxi-scooter is expected to be priced around Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom). In fact, select BMW Motorrad dealerships have already started accepting bookings for the new scooter at a token amount of Rs 1 lakh.

The new BMW C 400 GT maxi scooter is powered by a 350cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine paired to a CVT gearbox. This engine has been boosted with the new ‘e-gas’ technology, which is basically the updated throttle-by-wire system. The engine has been tweaked to meet the new emission standards. It has modified cylinder head, new oxygen sensor, new catalytic convertor and revised exhaust system. This 350cc engine is capable of producing 33.5bhp of power at 7,500rpm and a peak torque of 35Nm at 5,750rpm. It is claimed to achieve a top speed of 139kmph.

It is expected to be offered in 3 colour options – Blackstorm Metallic, Alpine White and Moonwalkgrey Metallic. The BMW C 400 GT has full LED headlamps, large windshield, upswept exhaust and large grab rails. It comes with keyless ride, big under-seat storage, USB charging socket and TFT screen that displays multiple information including navigational directions.

It also supports BMW Motorrad Connectivity Suit to access smart features such as music, make/receive calls, etc. In the international markets, the scooter also comes with optional features like heated grips, heated seat and anti-theft alarm system. The C 400 GT has telescopic front forks and double aluminium swingarm type rear suspension with double spring struts. Braking system comprises of double disc brakes at the front and single disc brake at the rear along with ABS system.
