Tata dealers are offering lucrative discounts on the two popular Tata SUVs – Harrier and Safari. Buyers can avail a massive discount of up to 1.2 lakh on the 2022 model year of both models. One must note that the dealer end benefits are available on select variants and it might vary dealer-wise. The carmaker hasn’t yet confirmed launch of the 2023 Tata Harrier and Safari facelifts, but it showcased the SUVs’ Red Black Editions with multiple cosmetic changes and feature upgrades. Tata’s ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) also marked debut on the Harrier and Safari Red Black Editions.
The ADAS suite includes autonomous emergency braking, traffic sign recognition, lane assist and forward collision alert. Both models feature a larger and updated 10.25-inch infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. The carmaker has also equipped the Red Black Editions with adjustable driver’s seat with memory functions, a 360 degree camera and ambient lighting. The Tata Safari Red Black Edition additionally gets a ventilated function for the middle row and powered front passenger seat with ‘Boss’ mode. All aforementioned features will be offered on the 2023 Tata Harrier and Safari facelifts.
The Red Editions of both SUVs have ‘Carnelian’ red seat upholstery with a quilted pattern and red leatherette grab handles. While the steering wheel has piano black inserts, the dashboard comes in grey trim. On the exterior, the SUVs has front grille with subtle red insert and 18-inch alloy wheels with red brake calipers. The Tata Harrier and Safari Red Black Editions were painted in ‘Oberon Black’ shade.
At the biennial automotive event, Tata Motors showcased the electric iteration of the Harrier in its concept avatar. The company has confirmed that its final version will go on sale in 2024. The Tata Harrier EV will be designed on the Gen 2 (Sigma) platform and could be offered with a 60kWh battery pack. Its range is expected to be around 400-500km.
