Bajaj Auto has launched the ABS version of the Platina 110 in the country. Featuring the segment-first ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System), the entry-level Bajaj Platina 110 ABS commuter motorcycle is available at a price tag of Rs 72,224 (ex-showroom).
The new Bajaj Platina 110 ABS comes equipped with a segment-first single channel ABS unit. Adding to it, the entry-level commuter motorcycle gets a digital speedometer console with a gear position indicator and gear guidance along with an indication for ABS. This model is now available in 4 exterior paint schemes – Ebony Black, Gloss Pewter Grey, Cocktail Wine Red and Saffire Blue.
Powering the new Platina 110 BS is a 115.45cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine that produces 8.44bhp of power and 9.81Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to the rear wheel via a four-speed gearbox. The motorcycle gets telescopic front forks and dual spring rear shock absorbers with Nitrox. It rides on 17-inch wheels.
The motorcycle has longer front and rear suspension that improves the riding comfort and avoid jerks and vibrations. It features a long, wide and well-padded seat for optimal comfort to rider and pillion. It comes with a halogen headlamp unit with LED daytime running lamps. The motorcycle has a fuel tank with a capacity of 11-litres.
Bajaj Auto claims that the ABS unit will effectively deal with panic braking situations. The ABS system is added after taking customer feedback. It was noted that one of the key challenges two-wheeler users face is panic braking. ABS helps in improving balance, handling and stability during panic braking situations.
