Bajaj CT 125X Priced at Rs 71,345 – Engine Specs, Features

Bajaj Auto has silently launched the CT 125X at Rs 71,345 (ex-showroom, Delhi), thus making it the most affordable 125cc bike in India. Compared to its sibling – CT 110X, the new Bajaj CT 125X is around 5,000 more expensive. Here, it will take on the Honda Shine and Hero Supper Splendor that cost between Rs 77,378 – Rs 81,378 and Rs 77,500 – Rs 81,400 respectively (all, ex-showroom).

 The bike has been offered in three colours – Ebony Black with Red decals, Ebony Black with Blue decals and Ebony Black with Green decals. For power, the commuter motorcycle uses a 124.4cc, air-cooled engine that’s good enough for 10.9PS and 11Nm. It comes with a 5-speed gearbox.

Suspension setup of the Bajaj CT 125X includes a telescopic fork at the front and dual shock absorbers at the rear. It gets CBS (combined braking system) as standard. The front suspension unit has stylish bellows. Braking duties are done by the 130mm front and rear drum brakes, which are available on the lower variant. The higher variant gets a 240mm disc up front unit. The bike rides on 17-inch alloy wheels shod with 80/100-17 front and 100/90-17 rear tubeless tyres.

On the feature front, the CT 125X offers an analogue instrument cluster, a USB charging port and an LED DRL on the cowl. The bike’s seat height and length stand at 810mm and 700mm respectively. It sits on a 1285mm of wheelbase. It has minimal body panels with features such as a round headlamps, LED DRLs, rubber tank pads, crash guards, fork gaiters and a large grab rail.

In other updates, the Pune-based two-wheeler maker has started testing a new 350cc bike that will be co-developed with Triumph. The model is reported to hit roads sometime next year. It’s reported to come with a 350cc, liquid-cooled engine featuring 4 valve and DOHC layout.
