The Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers has announced to organise the Auto Expo in 2023. If reports are to be believed, the 2023 Edition of Auto Expo will be held between January 13 and January 18. SIAM had cancelled the Auto Expo 2022 due to COVID-19 pandemic.
The Asia’s biggest motor show was supposed to be organised in February 2022 at Great Noida; however, it was postponed due to the worsening COVID-19 situation. The next edition of the Auto Show will be held at Greater Noida, while the auto components show would take place at the revamped Pragati Maidan complex.
SIAM Director General Rajesh Menon, said, “the Motor Show is confirmed from January 13-18, 2023 at India Expo Mart Greater Noida. January 11 will be exclusively for the media; January 12 will be the inaugural ceremony and for the media, special guests and dealers.”
The Auto Expo is a biennial event and witnesses huge footfalls during general public days. Over 6 lakh people visited in the last edition of the Auto Expo, which was held in February 2020. It is early to comment whether the next edition of the biennial event will be as grand as previous editions.
Most of the brands are looking at the biennial event to showcase their future cars and concept models. It was expected that brands like Volkswagen Group, MSIL, Hyundai, Kia Motors, and others will showcase some of its important products. Adding to it, some of the global automakers including Chinese auto giants will participate at the next edition of the Auto Show.
