All-new Jawa Electric Bike – Will It Look Like This?

In late 2018, Classic Legends had revived the iconic Jawa motorcycle brand in India with three new models – Jawa, Jawa Forty Two and Jawa Perak. According to a latest report the company is planning to further expand the model lineup with a new electric bike. While there is no official word on the same, the new Jawa electric bike is likely to come sometime in 2022. The model will be designed and developed by Classic Legends, though some of its EV technology will be sourced from Mahindra. Similar to its petrol-powered models, the company aims to achieve high level of localization for the new electric motorcycle.

While the final model will take a good 2-3 years to arrive, a latest digital rendering previews its possible design. Design and styling of the new Jawa electric bike will be more or less similar to the modern-age Jawa motorcycles. Reports suggest it could be the “most futuristic-looking” Jawa bike. Painted in dual-tone shade, the rendered model features the round LED headlamp and blue highlights notifying its electric nature. A larger batter pack will be placed just below the fuel tank along with the charging lid and electric components.

Most of the features and components will be carried over from the ICE-powered Jawa models including the suspension setup, braking system and tyres. Its powertrain details are still under the wraps. Though, the new Jawa electric bike is likely to come with a large battery pack making it compatible for both city and long ride purpose. It’s likely to offer a range of around 200-250km.

More details on the upcoming new electric Jawa bike are likely to be revealed in near future. Stay tuned to IndiaCarNews. In other news, the bikemaker recently announced roadside assistance service (RAS) for Jawa, Forty Two and Perak at Rs 1,050 for a year.
