2022 Maruti Brezza Gets Significant Design Changes – Fresh Details Out

Maruti Suzuki is gearing up to launch the updated Ertiga and XL6 MPVs in coming weeks. Both facelifts will be followed by the new-generation Brezza that’s reported to hit showrooms in mid 2022. The SUV’s new model is currently in its final testing phase. One of its test mules was recently caught on camera revealing some new design details. The spy video shows the heavily camouflaged prototype featuring newly-designed alloy wheels and significantly updated front fascia. The new 2022 Maruti Brezza will carry a newly-designed grille, updated bumper and new headlamps with L-shaped DRLs.

The new front fenders and redesigned clamshell style hood will add more to its new look. The SUV will receive new wraparound taillights, revised rear bumper with a faux skid plate and restyled tailgate. Compared to the current model, the new one will have slightly lower positioned number plate. Interior of the new Maruti Brezza 2022 will be high on features and safety equipment.

Its official details are yet to be revealed. Though, the compact SUV is likely to come with a bigger touchscreen infotainment system, a factory-fitted sunroof (first time), a sim-based connectivity suite, wireless charger, paddle shifters (for automatic variants only) and a HUD (Head-Up display). The new 2022 Maruti Brezza is reported get 6 airbags as standard safety fitment.

Powering the new Maruti Brezza 2022 will be the same 1.5L petrol engine that makes 105bhp and 138Nm. A 5-speed manual gearbox will be standard, while the existing 4-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox will be replaced with a new 6-speed unit. Rumour has it that the automaker might introduce the new Brezza with stronger hybrid system, thus making it more fuel efficient.

With significant cosmetic changes and feature upgrades, the new Brezza is likely to witness a price. At present, the compact SUV model lineup is available within the price range of Rs 7.68 lakh – Rs 11.33 lakh (all, ex-showroom).
