All-New Honda Amaze Launch This Diwali – Based On City Platform

We reported earlier that Honda is planning to launch the third generation Amaze sub-4 meter sedan in the country in 2024. The second-gen model was launched in 2018 and has already received a couple of changes. A new media report claims that the all-new Honda Amaze will go on sale by Diwali 2024.

The all-new Honda Amaze will be developed on the same platform that underpins the City and the Elevate mid-sized SUV. However, the platform will be modified to accommodate a sub-4 meter car. The sedan will have a much shorter wheelbase than the City sedan’s 2600mm. The outgoing model has a wheelbase of 2,470mm that’s 130mm shorter than the City sedan. It is expected that the third-gen model will continue to have similar wheelbase and dimensions.

2024 Honda Amaze Launch

The new gen Honda Amaze will continue to have stylish design cues, which will be inspired from the bigger Honda sedans on sale in international markets. In fact, the second generation Amaze styling is inspired from the Accord sedan. It is expected that the third-gen Amaze will share the styling cues from the current gen Accord.

The cabin of the new Amaze is likely to share the layout and features from the Elevate mid-sized sedan. It could get a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The sedan is likely to share several interior components from the new City and the Elevate.

Previous reports suggest that the new-gen Amaze could also receive the Honda Sensing Suite – an advanced driver assistance system. The ADAS tech will offer features like lane keep assist, lane departure warning, road departure warning, collision mitigation braking system, adaptive cruise control and automatic high beam assist.

The third-gen Amaze will continue to be offered with the same 1.2-litre 4-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine that powers the existing model. This engine is capable of producing 90bhp and 110Nm of torque. Transmission choices include a 5-speed manual and a CVT automatic.
