All-New Bajaj Pulsar NS250, Pulsar RS250 Launching In 2021

Bajaj Auto is working on the next generation Pulsar range, which will come with 250cc engine. The new Pulsar 250cc range will sit or replace the existing 200cc range. A new report claims that the all-new Bajaj Pulsar NS250 and the Pulsar RS250 will be launched in the Indian market in 2021; however, the exact launch timeline is yet to be revealed.

The report claims that the next generation Bajaj Pulsar range will be based on the KTM Duke 250 platform. Not just platform, the new models will use the Duke 250cc engine that also powers the Bajaj Dominar 250. The Pulsar RS250 will be a fully-faired motorcycle, which will be positioned against the Suzuki Gixxer SF 250, while the NS250 will be a naked streetfighter. The naked motorcycle will rival the Suzuki Gixxer 250 and the Yamaha FZ250. It will have revised styling and better features compared to the Pulsar NS200.

Previous reports suggest that Bajaj is also working on the next generation Pulsar 150. KTM will help the homegrown two-wheeler maker to develop new motors and products. The styling of the NS250 is likely to be inspired by the Pulsar NS00. The bike will have more mature design, and will have new age features like LED headlight, a colour display for instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity.

The new Bajaj Pulsar NS250 and Pulsar RS250 are most likely to be powered by a 248.8cc, fuel-injected, single-cylinder engine that also powers the KTM 250 Duke. While powering the Duke 250, this engine produces 30PS of power at 9,000rpm and 24Nm of torque at 7,500rpm. The same engine also powers the Dominar 250; however, it has been de-tuned to suit the needs of a cruiser-friendly motorcycle. Paired to a 6-speed gearbox, the Dominar’s 250cc engine churns out 27bhp of power at 8,500rpm and 23.5Nm of torque at 6,500rpm.

The new Pulsar 250cc range will also be de-tuned for higher fuel efficiency. The bikes are likely to offer better low- and mid-range performance. ABS system will come as standard, while slipper clutch could also be on offer. The Dominar 250 comes with USD front forks and monoshock unit at the rear, and the same could be expected with the Pulsar 250cc range. The motorcycle will have disc brakes along with dual-channel ABS system.
