In a recent tweet, Mehta hinted at the development of a larger, family-oriented scooter designed to cater to diverse needs within a family. The upcoming Ather family scooter is touted to prioritize “comfort, ample size, and a whole lot more.” The CEO emphasized the company’s commitment to making this new offering accessible to a broader audience, pledging an aggressive pricing strategy.

The test mule features a boxy stance, notable for its larger pillion grab rails, spacious floorboard, and a foldable pillion footrest. Speculations hint that this family-oriented Ather scooter may incorporate the 2.9kWh battery pack utilized in the Ather 450S, potentially sharing the LCD console with its sibling. The model is anticipated to be available in two trims – LR (Low Range) and HR (High Range), with the LR version expected to debut first, followed by the HR variant.
Additionally, Ather Energy plans to introduce a new variant of the Ather 450X in early 2024. This model is promised to boast more features than its predecessor, delivering enhanced performance. Anticipated to come equipped with the 3.7kWh battery sourced from the 450X, the new variant is poised to include advanced features such as cruise control and dual-channel ABS.
