Launched in August 2029, the Kia Seltos was the first product from the South Korean automaker in India. The SUV turned out to be a triumph card that currently contributes over 55 percent to the company’s total sales (in both domestic market and exports). The carmaker retailed 5 lakh Seltos in just 46 months of its market arrival. In the first quarter of 2023, Kia sold 27,159 units of the SUV with an average month sales of over 9,000 units.
At present, the Seltos SUV model lineup is available within the price range of Rs 10.89 lakh – Rs 19.65 lakh. Its petrol variants are priced from Rs 10.89 lakh – Rs 15.90 lakh and the diesel models cost between Rs 12.39 lakh – Rs 19.65 lakh. There are 9 automatic variants that can be had between Rs 12.39 lakh – Rs 19.65 lakh. All aforementioned prices are ex-showroom.
The Kia Seltos has been here for around four years, so naturally, the model is ready to receive a nip and tuck. Its prototypes were caught testing on camera wearing heavy amount of camouflage. Though, it barely hides its design changes. The biggest changes, however, will be made inside the cabin. The SUV will receive the ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) tech, offering safety features such as adaptive cruise control, lane departure steering assist, lane centering steering, autonomous emergency braking system, forward collision avoidance system with pedestrian and cyclist detection, remote smart parking assist and automatic high beams.
The latest spy image confirms that it will get a panoramic sunroof. It will also come with the dual 10.25-inch displays – one for the infotainment system and one for the instrument cluster. The automatic variants might come with a rotary drive selector replacing the conventional unit.
Engine setup of the new 2023 Kia Seltos facelift will include the 115PS, 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol, 115PS, 1.5L diesel and 160PS, 1.5L turbo petrol units. The new turbo-petrol engine will be offered with two gearbox options – a 6-speed iMT and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic. Expect the wraps to come off in July 2023.
