Design Details

Compared to the 3-door Thar, the Armada variant introduces a newly-designed grille and front bumper, complemented by an all-LED lighting system. Wheel options range from steel wheels on the base variant to alloys on the mid-level trim and 19-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels on the top-end model. Spy images reveal additional design elements, including a remote fuel filling cap opening and a rear wiper. Some inspiration for the design comes from the Thar.e concept unveiled in South Africa last year.

Engine & Off-Road Capabilities

Built on the ladder frame chassis shared with the Scorpio N, the 5-door Thar Armada is expected to borrow its suspension setup, featuring a five-link unit and Watt’s linkage. Frequency Dependent Dampers may also be adopted from its 5-seater sibling. Powering the SUV are the same 2.0L turbo petrol and 2.2 turbo diesel engines found in the Scorpio N, offering both 2WD and 4WD drivetrain options. The off-road capabilities are set to impress, staying true to the Thar’s adventurous spirit.
