Hyundai Hits All-Time Sales High: The Impact of the New Creta

In January 2024, Hyundai Motor India achieved a historic milestone by recording its highest monthly sales to date. The South Korean automaker successfully sold a total of 67,615 units, comprising 57,115 units in the domestic market and 10,500 units for export. This achievement marked a significant YoY sales growth of 8.7 percent and a MoM growth of 33.60 percent. Notably, Hyundai’s highest monthly sales were observed following the launch of the Creta facelift, featuring enhanced styling, refreshed interiors, and a new turbo-petrol engine.

Since the commencement of bookings, the new Hyundai Creta has garnered nearly 50,000 orders, underscoring its popularity in the market. High demand has led to waiting periods of up to 3-4 months for the petrol variants and 4-5 months for the diesel variants, with variations based on the chosen variant, color, and city.

Key highlights of the new Hyundai Creta facelift include a 10.25-inch digital driver display, updated dual-zone climate control, an enhanced touchscreen infotainment system, new USB Type-C charging points, and Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) technology. The SUV lineup includes a new 160bhp, 1.5L turbo petrol engine paired with a DCT automatic gearbox, alongside the continuation of the 1.5L petrol and 1.5L diesel engines from the pre-facelift version.

Hyundai plans to expand the Creta SUV model lineup with the introduction of its N Line variant. The Hyundai Creta N Line, already patented by the automaker, features a distinct front grille design, a modified bumper with wider air-dams, and a larger skid plate. Setting it apart from the standard Creta, the sportier version boasts a redesigned and larger set of 18-inch alloy wheels, adorned with N Line emblems on the front fenders and above the wheel arches.

Inside the Hyundai Creta N Line, an all-black theme with contrasting red elements creates a sporty ambiance. Red inserts accentuate the dashboard and dual screens, complementing the new three-spoke steering wheel with the N Line logo, an N Line-specific gear selector lever, and seat upholstery featuring red contrasting stitching.
