3 New Tata EVs Launching This Year – All Details Here

Tata Motors has firmly established its dominance in the electric vehicle (EV) segment in India, offering a comprehensive lineup that includes the Nexon.ev, Tiago.ev, Tigor.ev, and the recently introduced Tata Punch.ev. With a presence in four distinct segments, the automaker sets an ambitious sales target of approximately 70,000 to 80,000 EVs by the end of the current year.

Looking ahead, Tata Motors has high expectations for its upcoming EV range, featuring the Curvv.ev, Harrier.ev and Safari.ev, all scheduled to hit the roads in the second half of 2024. The company envisions reaching a milestone of selling 1 lakh EVs in the financial year 2025.

Tata Curvv Launch Date

Currently in the testing phase, the Tata Harrier EV and Safari EV prototypes have been spotted in spy images. These electric SUVs, based on their facelifted internal combustion engine (ICE) counterparts, will showcase EV-specific elements both inside and out. Utilizing the Acti.EV (Gen 2) platform, these models are expected to offer an impressive range exceeding 500km.

Detailed specifications for the Harrier EV and Safari EV remain undisclosed, but both are anticipated to feature battery packs ranging between 50kWh to 60kWh. The standard configuration will include a front-wheel-drive (FWD) setup, while an optional dual-motor all-wheel-drive (AWD) system will be available.

The SUV marks the debut of Tata’s new 1.2L TGDi petrol engine paired with a 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox, delivering 125PS and 225Nm of torque.

As the second production model designed on the Acti.EV platform, the Curvv EV promises an extensive range and a suite of advanced features. Notable additions include ADAS tech, a 12.3-inch infotainment system, a 10.25-inch driver’s display, a new steering wheel, 360-degree camera, ventilated seats, front and rear parking sensors, and a comprehensive safety package featuring six airbags.
