3 New Tata SUVs Launching Soon – What to Expect?

Tata Motors has ushered in the 2023 festive season by launching extensively updated versions of the Nexon and Nexon.ev SUVs. The company has previously disclosed its intent to introduce four additional models, including the revamped Harrier and Safari, Punch EV, and the production-ready Curvv EV, all scheduled to debut in the second half of the current fiscal year.

The Tata Punch EV is expected to be available for sale in late October, while the refreshed Tata Harrier and Safari are also set to grace showrooms in October or November 2023. The electric Tata Curvv is slated for release in early 2024, followed by its internal combustion engine-powered counterpart.

Speaking specifically about the Tata Punch EV, this electric micro SUV will be developed on the extensively modified Alfa platform, known as Tata’s Gen-2 EV architecture, featuring a liquid-cooled battery and a permanent magnet synchronous motor. It may come with two battery options and various charging choices, possibly including a front bumper-mounted charging socket.

Notable exterior alterations may encompass distinct alloy wheel designs and the adoption of four-wheel disc brakes. Inside, expect to find a two-spoke steering wheel inspired by the Curvv and a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, akin to the updated Nexon.

Recent sightings of the 2023 Tata Harrier and Safari facelifts confirm that these new models will receive cosmetic and feature enhancements inspired by the Curvv. Anticipate a redesigned dashboard, a new 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and a fresh two-spoke steering wheel. Externally, both Tata SUVs will sport a new grille with horizontal slats, tweaked bumpers, updated alloy wheels, and slimmer, connected LED taillamps.

Under the hood, both SUVs will retain the 2.0L turbo diesel engine, delivering 170bhp and 350Nm. There are rumors circulating that Tata may also introduce a new 1.5L, 4-cylinder turbo petrol engine with the updated Harrier and Safari.
