3 New Tata Punch Variants Launched; 10 Discontinued

Tata Punch, having claimed the top spot as India’s best-selling SUV in January 2024, has undergone a significant variant restructuring. In this latest update, the carmaker has streamlined its model lineup by discontinuing 10 variants while introducing three new ones – the Creative MT, Creative Flagship MT, and Creative AMT. Priced at Rs 8.85 lakh and Rs 9.60 lakh for the Creative manual and Creative Flagship manual variants respectively, the Creative AMT variant comes at Rs 9.45 lakh, all prices being ex-showroom.

The variants that bid adieu include the Camo Adventure MT, Camo Adventure Rhythm MT, Camo Adventure AMT, Camo Accomplished MT, Camo Adventure Rhythm AMT, Camo Accomplished Dazzle MT, Camo Accomplished AMT, Camo Accomplished Dazzle AMT, Creative dual-tone, and Creative Flagship MT dual-tone.

Additionally, the Tata Punch recently underwent a price revision, witnessing an increase of up to Rs 17,000. While the base variant saw a surge of Rs 13,000, most variants experienced a Rs 10,000 increment. Prices of the CNG variants have seen a hike of up to Rs 17,000, with five variants – Pure CNG, Adventure CNG, Adventure Rhythm CNG, Accomplished CNG, and Accomplished Dazzle S CNG – now priced at Rs 7.23 lakh, Rs 7.95 lakh, Rs 8.30 lakh, Rs 8.95 lakh, and Rs 9.85 lakh respectively. Presently, the Punch model lineup offers a price range of Rs 6.13 lakh to Rs 10.20 lakh. Petrol manual variants fall within the Rs 6.13 lakh to Rs 9.60 lakh bracket, while petrol AMT variants are available between Rs 7.60 lakh and Rs 10.20 lakh.

Powering the Tata Punch is a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine, delivering 84bhp and 113Nm of torque. Equipped with a factory-fitted CNG kit, this setup offers 72bhp and 103Nm. Buyers have the option of two gearbox choices – a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT. The micro SUV also boasts automatic engine start/stop functionality, enhancing its fuel efficiency.
