Several car manufacturers are in launch mode with products that will cater different set of buyers in different segments. Here’re four new car/SUV launches and unveilings scheduled for the next month – i.e. April 2021.
Citroen C5 Aircross
The French carmaker has confirmed that it announce prices of the Citroen C5 Aircross SUV on 7th April 2021. Its bookings have already been commenced across the nation at an initial sum of Rs 50,000. Here, it will be brought via CKD route and offered in two variants – Feel and Shine. Powering the SUV will be a 2.0L, 4-cylinder turbo diesel engine making 177bhp and 400Nm. The oil burner will be paired to an 8-speed automatic gearbox and deliver a claimed mileage of 18.6kmpl.
Skoda Kushaq
Skoda hasn’t yet revealed the official launch date of the upcoming Kushaq SUV. Though, it’s possibly seeing a release in the month of April. The Skoda Kushaq is essentially the production-ready version of the Vision IN concept underpinning the India-specific MQB A0 IN platform. Its engine setup will include a 1.0L, 3-cylinder turbo petrol and a 1.5L, 4-cylinder turbo petrol engine delivering power worth 110bhp and 147bhp respectively. While the former will come with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox, the latter will be available with a 7-speed DSG transmission.
BS6 Isuzu D-Max V-Cross
2021 Isuzu D-Max V-Cross is likely to arrive with the BS6-compliant engine in April 2021. The model was temporarily discontinued last year. The updated D-Max V-Cross might be made available with the BS6, 1.9L diesel engine only. The official power and torque figures of its BS6 version are yet to be revealed. In its BS4 avatar, the unit delivers 150bhp with 350Nm of torque. Transmission choices might include an optional 6-speed manual gearbox along with the 6-speed automatic transmission. No other changes are likely to be made to the pickup truck.
Hyundai Alcazar
The South Korean carmaker will unveil its upcoming 7-seeater SUV based on the Creta. Called the Hyundai Alcazar, the three-row SUV will share its platform, design elements, features and powertrains with its younger sibling. Though, the carmaker will make a few cosmetic changes and offer some extra features to distinguish it from the Creta 5-seater. If reports are to be believed, the Alcazar might get the ADAS (advanced driving support system), a larger infotainment system and a 360 degree camera. It will be offered in 6 and 7-seats configurations.
