2024 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado – Interior, Features, Specs

The long-awaited all-new Toyota Land Cruiser J250 has finally arrived! The Japanese automaker has unveiled this legendary off-roader with a completely new design, featuring a retro-styled boxy stance, a flat roof, and short overhangs. It is worth noting that in select global markets, the SUV is known as the Land Cruiser Prado. According to Toyota, the 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado “returns to its origin with a heritage-inspired design paired with the legendary capability and durability” it is known for.

Production of the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado will take place at Toyota Motor Corporation’s Tahara and Hino facilities in Japan. The model is set to go on sale in the U.S. during the spring season of next year, where it will compete with the likes of the Jeep Wrangler and Ford Bronco. The starting price of the new Land Cruiser Prado will be $55,000, making it more affordable than the Land Cruiser LC300.

2024 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado Specs

The SUV will be offered in three trims: LC 1958, Land Cruiser, and LC First Edition. The more rugged LC First Edition will have a limited production run of only 5,000 units during the first two months. It will come with two new dual-tone color schemes and additional off-road equipment. Built on the brand’s TNGA-F ladder-frame chassis, the 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado measures 4,920mm in length, 2,139mm in width, and 1,859mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,850mm and a ground clearance of 221mm.

Powertrain setup of the new Land Cruiser Prado includes a 2.4L, 4-cylinder turbo engine with an electric motor and a 1.87kWh battery pack, delivering a combined power output of 326bhp and 630Nm of torque. The SUV comes with an 8-speed automatic gearbox, and the mileage figure will be revealed on its launch day.

The 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado is loaded with features. Some of its key highlights include a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 14-speaker JBL premium audio system, 4G connectivity for up to five devices, ventilated and heated seats, Head-Up Display (HUD), wireless phone charging, a moonroof, and Toyota’s Safety Sense 3.0, among others. To enhance its off-road capabilities, the SUV comes equipped with an electronic locking rear differential, downhill assist, crawl control, a multi-terrain select system, a multi-link rear suspension system, and a front stabilizer bar disconnect system.
