Citroen C3 Aircross, the fourth offering from the French automaker, is all set to hit showrooms in the country. The company has confirmed that the new midsize SUV comes with a single 1.2L turbo petrol engine generating 110bhp and 190Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed gearbox. Though the model lineup currently misses out on an automatic transmission option, it is expected to be offered at a later stage. The C3 Aircross boasts an ARAI-certified fuel efficiency of 18.5kmpl with this engine-gearbox combination.
While the carmaker has yet to reveal the variant details, a recent report suggests that the SUV will be available in a single Max trim. Customers can opt for either a 5-seater configuration or a 7-seater layout. The 7-seater version comes with roof-mounted AC vents with blower control for the middle and third-row passengers, along with USB charging ports for the third-row passengers. Folding down the third-row seats provides a generous cargo space of 511-litres, while the 5-seater variant offers a boot capacity of 444-litres.
The Citroen C3 Aircross Max offers an array of goodies, including a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, connected car tech, a 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster, one-touch auto up/down for all four power windows, keyless entry, manual AC unit with heater, steering-mounted controls, 4 speakers, manual height adjustment for the driver’s seat, tilt-adjustable steering, rear centre armrest (5-seater only), electrically adjustable wing mirrors, and removable third-row seats. In terms of safety, the SUV’s standard kit includes dual airbags, hill hold assist, anti-lock braking system (ABS), electronic brake-force distribution (EBD), electronic stability program (ESP), reverse camera, and sensors, as well as a tyre pressure monitoring system. Design highlights include halogen headlamps, LED DRLs, front fog lamps, 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, and a rear defogger, wiper, and washer. Customers can also opt for dual-tone color schemes as an optional offering.
