MG Motor India, celebrating its 100th anniversary, has announced a new pricing strategy for its 2024 model lineup. The MG Comet EV, a two-door electric car, has seen a reduction in its price by Rs 1 lakh, now available at Rs 6.99 lakh from its earlier price of Rs 7.98 lakh. Other models such as MG Hector, Astor, and Gloster SUVs are now priced at Rs 14.94 lakh, Rs 9.98 lakh, and Rs 37.49 lakh, respectively.
In addition to the price adjustments, MG Motor India has introduced the Executive trim to the MG ZS EV model lineup, priced at Rs 18.98 lakh. This expansion is part of MG Motor India’s celebration of its centennial milestone. The ZS EV features a 50.3kWh Prismatic cell battery and offers an impressive range of 461km on a single charge. Meanwhile, the MG Comet EV comes with a 17.3kWh battery pack, providing an ARAI-certified range of 230km.

Customers purchasing MG vehicles will continue to benefit from the MG Shield 360, offering a comprehensive package that includes a five-year warranty, five years of labour-free periodic services, five years of roadside assistance, and five years of residual value assurance. MG Motor India boasts a network of over 300 outlets across the country.
In its broader plans for India, MG Motor has outlined a five-year roadmap involving an investment of around Rs 5,000 crore. This initiative includes the establishment of a second manufacturing facility and a battery assembly, along with the launch of five new products. The majority of MG’s upcoming offerings will be electric vehicles (EVs), with the goal of EVs constituting 65-75 percent of its overall sales in India by 2028.
As part of its expansion, MG Motor will set up a new manufacturing plant in Gujarat, increasing its production capacity from 120,000 units to 300,000 units. The company also plans to invest in advanced and clean technologies, including hydrogen fuel cells and EV cell manufacturing.
