2024 Hyundai Santa Fe Exterior, Interior Changes Revealed

The fifth-generation Hyundai Santa Fe has undergone a significant design transformation, adopting a bold and radical new look. The SUV has moved away from its previous curvy creases in favor of a more boxy and straight-edged appearance. According to Hyundai, the 2024 Santa Fe boasts a longer wheelbase, providing a spacious interior and ample cargo space with its terrace-like tailgate design.

Notable design elements of the new Santa Fe include body-colored trim around the rear window glass, headlamps and taillamps featuring H-pattern LED accents, a large roof rack, sporty trim around the wheel arches, and 21-inch alloys with 245/45 R21 tires. The rear profile exhibits a squared-off shape with a slightly sloping roofline and a straight tailgate, emphasizing the vehicle’s versatility and cargo-carrying capabilities.

Hyundai has confirmed that the new-generation Santa Fe will be available with both a three-row seat arrangement and a two-row layout. The interior image released by the automaker showcases the two-row configuration, with the middle seats folded flat.

The SUV will offer nappa leather upholstery, two wireless charging pads in the center console, and dual 12.3-inch screens for the digital cluster and infotainment system, giving it a reminiscent feel of the Land Rover Defender 130. Additionally, Hyundai has incorporated recycled plastic materials in the headliner, floor mats, and backrest of the fully foldable middle and third-row seats.

Specific engine specifications for the 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe have not been disclosed yet. However, it is expected to be equipped with a 2.5L inline-four turbocharged engine. A picture of the SUV reveals a “2.5T HTRAC” badge, indicating that Hyundai’s AWD (all-wheel drive) system will be available. Currently, the global variant of the Santa Fe is offered with a 2.5T engine producing 277bhp and 421.7Nm (311 Ibf.ft) of torque. It is likely that the new generation will also introduce the sportier XRT trim level, potentially featuring noticeable off-road upgrades.
