2023 Tata Nexon – What Could Be New With Steering Wheel?

Tata Nexon is ready to receive a comprehensive update in coming months (possibly by August 2023). We have seen multiple spy images of the updated model revealing some interesting details. The latest set of spy images shows its new, flat-bottom two-spoke steering wheel that seems to be borrowed from the Tata Curvv concept. The unit has piano black finish and a rectangular hub section with control buttons on either side. What’s interesting here is the steering wheel misses out on the signature logo. Speculations are on rife that the new 2023 Tata Nexon facelift might get a steering wheel with an integrated digital screen or a backlit logo.

One of the major updates could be the bigger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity and a new 7-inch digital instrument cluster. The central console will also be new featuring a touch panel and toggle switches for the HVAC control.

The new 2023 Tata Nexon facelift will also get a built-in air purifier, ventilated seats, a sunroof and a 360 degree camera. While there is no official information on its feature upgrade, the new Nexon is rumoured to get ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) tech. A few significant changes will also be made to its exterior and most of them will be inspired by the Tata Currv concept.

What will make it a more exciting offering will be a new 1.2L turbo petrol engine that’s good enough for 125bhp and 225Nm. That means, the new Nexon will be more powerful and torqueier than the pre-facelift version. The same powertrain will be offered on the upcoming Tata Curvv SUV.

The Nexon’s updated version will also be available with the existing 1.5L diesel engine pushing out power worth 115bhp and 260Nm of torque. Both transmissions will be carried forward from the current model – a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed DCT automatic.
