Tata Motors is preparing to introduce the refreshed Nexon and Nexon EV in the upcoming weeks. Although the precise launch date hasn’t been officially announced, an event is scheduled for the second week of September 2023. Ahead of the formal unveiling, clear leaked images have given us a glimpse of its interior and front exterior.
The interior image provides confirmation that the 2023 Tata Nexon facelift will showcase a novel two-spoke steering wheel embellished with an illuminated logo at its center, accompanied by fresh haptic buttons and toggle switches. Notably, the new Nexon incorporates a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, boasting improved graphics and a more user-friendly interface compared to the current iteration. The base variants, however, will retain the 7.0-inch infotainment system.
Another notable addition is the introduction of a new fully digital instrument cluster. The updated center console showcases the brand’s touch-based HVAC control panel, flanked by two rows of haptic touch buttons and two toggle switches. While the overall dashboard design, door panels, and rotary drive selector remain unchanged, the trapezoidal AC vents appear slimmer than their previous iteration. Leaked images reveal that the refreshed Nexon features a more upright stance and a thoroughly redesigned front fascia. The model incorporates a novel split headlamp configuration, accompanied by fresh LED daytime running lights (DRLs) featuring sequential lighting elements. Additionally, a slimmer grille, a taller and wider bumper, and a slightly more pronounced bonnet contribute to the updated appearance. Signature Y-shaped design motifs, newly-designed dual-tone alloy wheels, a C-shaped housing for reflectors, and a flatter rear highlighted by taillamps connected via a LED light bar and a new roof-mounted spoiler further enhance the visual appeal.
A significant enhancement is in store for its powertrain setup. The forthcoming 2023 Tata Nexon facelift will be equipped with a new 1.2L turbo petrol engine coupled with a 7-speed dual clutch transmission (DCT) gearbox. Alongside this addition, the existing options of a 120bhp, 1.2L turbo petrol engine and a 115bhp, 1.5L diesel engine will continue to be offered, complemented by manual and AMT gearboxes.
