2023 Tata Harrier Revealed – Bookings Open, 4 Variants, ADAS

The 2023 Tata Harrier will come in 4 trim levels – Smart, Pure, Adventure and Fearless. Bookings open online or at authorised dealerships at Rs 25K

Tata Motors has revealed the 2023 Harrier and Safari facelifts ahead of the launch in the coming weeks. Interested buyers can book the new SUVs online or at authorised dealerships at a token amount of Rs 25,000. The 2023 Tata Harrier comes with major design changes and an upgraded interior along with new features.

Design

The 2023 Tata Harrier gets significantly revised front fascia, featuring an all-new grille, sleek indicators and Nexon EV-like vertically stacked split LED headlamps and a sleek new LED daytime running lights connected by an LED light bar.

At the back, the 2023 Tata Harrier gets a connected LED tail lamp setup with a welcome function. The font used for the Harrier badge has been revised. It also receives an updated tail-lamps with Z-shaped light signature. The SUV gets a revised bumper and a more prominent skid plate.

Inside the cabin, the 2023 Tata Harrier gets an updated dashboard with layered designs. The SUV also comes with differently coloured cabins, which complements the exterior. It comes with a new 4-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo. The SUV features a bigger 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with connectivity options, a 10.25-inch digital instrument console and an ambient lighting stip that runs across the width of the dashboard.

Similar to the Nexon & Nexon EV, the 2023 Tata Harrier comes equipped with a new touch-based climate control panel with two toggles. It features a new dial for the drive modes that also has a display.

In terms of features, the 2023 Tata Safari comes with dual-zone climate control and gesture-controlled powered tailgate, wireless phone charging, electrically adjustable front seats and ventilated front seats, cruise control and a panoramic sunroof. For safety & security, the updated Safari gets up to 7 airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control (ESC), a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), a 360 degree camera, and an updated ADAS tech. This time, the Harrier’s ADAS now features an adaptive cruise control.

Engine – No Changes

The new Harrier retains the existing 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine that produces 170PS and 350Nm of torque. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic. The automatic version comes with paddle shifters and an electronic parking brake.

It was speculated that the new Harrier will receive a new 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine; that didn’t happen. This engine was unveiled at the 2023 Auto Expo and is capable of producing 170PS and 280Nm of torque.
