2023 MG Hector Facelift Expected Prices – Launch Tomorrow

The 2023 MG Hector facelift is all set to go on sale in India tomorrow (i.e. 5th January). The updated model lineup is likely to be offered in three trims – Smart, Sharp and Sharp EX, while the existing base Style and Shine trims could be discontinued. A few noticeable changes will be made to its exterior and interior and the higher variants might get dual-tone colour options.

The new Hector will use the same 143bhp, 1.5L turbo petrol (with and without mild hybrid tech) and 170bhp, 2.0L diesel engines. Gearbox options (a 6-speed manual and a CVT automatic) will also remain intact.

Inside, the facelifted Hector features a 14-inch HD portrait infotainment system with the next-generation i-Smart connectivity suite offering over 50 connected features. It’s powered by M2M embedded SIM and has voice commands support. The SUV also gets an updated infotainment driver display, a new start/stop button, ventilated seat button positioned next to gear levers, new AC vents, a 360 degree camera with multiple options and many more goodies. The ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) comes as a major update that offers safety features such as adaptive cruise control, rear driver assist, automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, blind spot detection, speed assist system and intelligent headlamp control.

Upfront, the new 2023 MG Hector facelift carries a prominent diamond mesh grille, sleek headlamps with mounted LED DRLs, tweaked bumper and new fog lamp assembly. It also gets slightly different taillamps and revised rear bumper. No changes have been made to its dimensions. The SUV continues to measure 4655mm in length, 1835mm in width and 1760mm in height with a wheelbase of 2750mm.

Currently, the Hector SUV model lineup comes within the price range of Rs 14.43 lakh – Rs 20.36 lakh (all, ex-showroom). With advanced ADAS tech and significant other upgrades, the facelifted version is expected to cost from Rs 15 lakh to Rs 21 lakh.
