2023 MG Astor, ZS EV Facelifts Unveiled – Key Changes

Morris Garages has unveiled the updated versions of the Astor and ZS EV SUVs for the global markets. Major cosmetic changes have been made to the models, especially at the front end. The new 2023 MG Astor and ZS EV (MG VS in Thailand) carries a newly-designed grille and updated bumper featuring diamond pattern and larger side intakes. The headlamps with a metallic insert appear sleeker than before. Save for the new set of alloy wheels, the side profile remains largely unchanged. A few changes have also been made at the rear end. Interior of the new 2023 MG Astor and ZS EV are still under the wraps. Though, the SUVs are likely to have minimalist design with a large touchscreen infotainment system. In India, the MG ZS EV is being offered in Excite and Exclusive variants. Features such as a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, leather seats, 6-way power adjustable driver’s seat, power folding and heated ORVMs, rain sensing wipers, PM 2.5 AC filter, i-Smart EV 2.0 connected car features, 6-speaker audio system, and silver finished roof rails are reserved for the Exclusive trim.

In Thailand, the Astor and ZS EV (VS EV) are available with hybrid powertrain. The former is likely to come with the same 1.5L, 4-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol (110bhp/144Nm) and 1.3L, 3-cylinder turbo petrol (140bhp/220Nm) engine options. The new 2023 MG ZS EV facelift might use the same 50.3kWh battery pack with an electric motor delivering power worth 176bhp and 280Nm. It might continue to offer a claimed range of 461km on a single charge.

As of now, there is no official word on the new 2023 MG Astor and ZS EV facelifts India launch timeline. Currently, the Astor SUV comes within the price range of Rs 10.32 lakh – Rs 18.23 lakh and the ZS EV Excite and Exclusive variants cost Rs 22.58 lakh and Rs 26.50 lakh respectively. All aforementioned prices are ex-showroom.
