The heavily updated Kia Seltos SUV is ready to make its public debut on July 4th, 2023. While its facelifted model has already been launched in the South Korean and US markets, its India launch is scheduled for the end of next month. Significant changes will be made to its exterior and interior, while the engine bay will receive a new 160bhp, 1.5L turbo petrol unit. According to a recent media report, the new Seltos will have ADAS tech reserved for the GT Line trims. The safety suite will offer 16 safety assistance features such as blind-spot collision warning, highway driving assist, forward collision avoidance assist, intelligent speed limit assist, rear cross-traffic collision avoidance assist, smart cruise control with stop and go, and safe exit warning.
A panoramic sunroof will be available from the mid-spec and higher trims. The new 2023 Kia Seltos facelift will feature dual-zone climate control for the first time. There will be a new climate control panel. The SUV’s higher trims will be equipped with an electronic parking brake. The new Seltos will have an EV6-like key fob featuring buttons for remote start parking assist (forward and backward) and remote start.
The report further states that the GT Line variants will come with a combination of the new 160bhp, 1.5L turbo petrol engine and DCT (dual-clutch transmission) gearbox. The sporty variants will also receive a new dual exhaust setup. The entry-level trims will continue to derive power from the existing 115bhp, 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol engine. The 1.5L diesel engine will also be carried over from the pre-facelift version.
