Hyundai Motor India will update its three popular models in 2023 including Creta, Grand i10 Nios and Verna. While the former two models will receive mid-life updates, the mid-size sedan will enter into its new generation. The new 2023 Hyundai Verna is currently in its testing phase and it’s reported to hit showrooms by April. Significant cosmetic changes and feature upgrades will be made to the new model. Its engine setup, however, might remain unchanged.
Similar to the new Elantra, the next-gen Verna will feature the brand’s new ‘Sensuous Sportiness’ design language. Upfront, there will be a new parametric jewel pattern grille with turn signal integration and new split LED headlamp setup. The front bumper will also be revised. The side profile will be adorned by the newly-designed alloy wheels, fastback-like styling with a tapered roof and a shark fin antenna. The high-tech “H-Tail Lamp” and a wing-type lower bumper will give new look to its rear section.
The new 2023 Hyundai Verna will also grow in size and have more spacious interior. The current generation model measures 4440mm in length, 1729mm in width and 1475mm in height. The biggest feature upgrade will be the ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) offering safety features such as lane departure warning, lane keep assist, lane follow assist, blind spot view mirror, rear cross traffic collision avoidance assist and forward collision assist. On the features front, the all-new Verna will have ventilated front seats, a full digital instrument cluster, an electric sunroof, wireless charging, Hyundai’s BlueLink connectivity and more. No changes are expected to be made under the bonnet. The new 2023 Hyundai Verna will continue to come with the 1.5L petrol, 1.4L turbo petrol and 1.5L diesel engines. Speculations are on rife that the South Korean automaker might offer the mild hybrid tech on the new Verna model lineup.
