The new 2023 Hyundai Palisade SUV has made its global debut at the 2022 New York International Auto Show. The automaker says that the SUV’s new model comes with “is the ultimate family vehicle for daily use and memory-making road trips”. The three-row SUV receives significant design changes and feature upgrades and uses the same 3.8L V6 Atkinson cycle DI, dual CVVT engine (291bhp/355Nm). Transmission duties are done by an 8-speed automatic gearbox featuring a multi-disc torque converter. The SUV comes with 2WD and 4WD system options.
Talking about the design changes, the new Palisade features a new, wider cascading grille with parametric shield elements and new vertically-connected LED composite lights at the front end. The SUV comes with newly-designed 20-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels, panoramic side glass graphics, new strake detailing on the lower front skid plate elements. At the rear profile, the three-row SUV gets vertical LED taillamps and lower fascia skid plate details.
Interior of the new 2023 Hyundai Palisade has been revised with the newly-designed dashboard, a new steering wheel and instrument cluster with redesigned panels and new lighting. The audio controls have been slightly re-positioned and HVAC vents have a strip running from the instrument cluster to the passenger door. Features such as a full-display digital rearview mirror, a new Ergo-motion seat, wireless charging system, heated third row seats and second-row seats with ventilation options and wing-out headrests are also on offer.
The new 2023 Hyundai Palisade comes with a 12-inch navigation display, the latest version of BlueLink connected services, WiFi hotspot and updated USB-C ports. The automaker has equipped the SUV with Digital Key 2 Touch system that supports iPhone and Android wireless devices. The safety/assist side, rear side-impact airbags are now standard across the model lineup. It offers driver assists suite that includes reverse collision assist, forward collision avoidance, remote parking, nav-based smart cruise and highway driving assist.
The updated SUV model lineup receives a new, dark-themed XRT variant that features rugged 20-inch alloy wheels with dark finish, rugged front and rear fascia with skid plate design elements, rugged lower door trim, black roof rails, power sunroof and black leatherette seating surfaces.
