The long-awaited 2022 Toyota Glanza is scheduled to be launched on March 15, 2022. Interested buyers can pre-book the hatchback online or at authorised dealerships by paying a token amount of Rs 11,000. The company has started dispatching the new model to dealerships for customer preview and test rides.
2022 Toyota Glanza Mileage
The new Glanza will be powered by the same 1.2-litre dual-VVT petrol engine that powers the new Baleno. This engine is capable of producing 89bhp of power and 113Nm of torque. Transmission choices will include a 5-speed manual and an AMT unit. The company has officially announced that the new Glanza will have an ARAI certified fuel economy of 22.9kmpl.
The company has released multiple teaser images that reveals the key features of the Glanza hatchback. In terms of features, the hatchback will get a new multi-functional leather wrapped, flat-bottom steering wheel, an updated instrument console, horizontal air-con vents on the centre console, and a new dual-tone black and beige interior scheme. It comes with a larger 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, navigation and voice commands.
The teaser also confirms that the 2022 Toyota Glanza comes with a 360-degree camera, a Heads-Up Display (HUD), voice assistant, Find My Car feature and connected car tech with features like remote lock and unlock functions. The hatchback will come equipped with six airbags, automatic climate control, cruise control and a height-adjustable driver seat.
In terms of styling, the 2022 Toyota Glanza facelift will have some design changes compared to the Baleno hatchback. It comes with a Camry-like single slat chrome grille and LED headlamps with integrated L-shaped LED DRLs. The new model rides on newly styled 16-inch alloy wheels. Other design changes include revised front bumper that accommodates new fog lamps with chrome surrounds and wider air-dam with a honey-comb pattern, and newly-styled wrap-around LED tail-lights.
