2022 Toyota Camry Hybrid Facelift Price & Key Updates

The Japanese automaker has rolled out the updated version of the Camry Hybrid sedan in the country. The model has been priced at Rs 41.70 lakh (ex-showroom, India), thus making it Rs 50,000 more expensive than its predecessor. It will continue to face challenge from the Skoda Superb that costs between Rs 32.85 lakh – Rs 3585 lakh (all, ex-showroom).

The 2022 Toyota Camry Hybrid facelift has received minor cosmetic updates along with an improved infotainment system. Its powertrain setup, however, remains unchanged. While the gasoline unit delivers a claimed power of 178bhp, its combined power output stands at 218bhp. The sedan continues to use the CVT automatic gearbox for performing transmission duties. Based on Toyota’s TNGA (Toyota New Global Architecture) platform, the new Camry Hybrid offers a fuel efficiency of 23.37kmpl.

One of the major updates comes in the form a new floating 9.0-inch infotainment display replacing the 8.0-inch unit. The new display unit has improved software along with the Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. While the dashboard, centre console and armrests get a new trim finish, the AC vents have been repositioned. The new Camry Hybrid offers 9 speaker JBL audio system, three zone climate control, powered and ventilated front seats with a memory function for the driver’s seat, head-up display, wireless charging pad, power reclining rear seats, a sunroof, powered sunshades for the rear passengers, reverse camera, 9 airbags and many more comfort goodies.

Upfront, the new 2022 Toyota Camry Hybrid features a sleeker grille with less chrome treatment and bigger and wider central air intake. One can notice new chrome accents on the sides, newly-designed dual-tone 18-inch alloy wheels and taillamps with new darkened inserts.
