2022 Toyota Camry Hybrid Facelift Launched; Price, Top Changes

Japanese automaker, Toyota has launched the Camry hybrid facelift in the Indian market at Rs 41.70 lakh (ex-showroom). The updated model comes with multiple design and interior changes along with a long list of features. Bookings for the new model has already been commenced online or authorised dealerships.

First launched in 2013, the Camry hybrid has been one of the best-selling models in its category. Commenting on the launch, Atul Sood, Associate Vice President, Sales & Strategic Marketing, TKM, said, “We are confident the New Camry Hybrid will attract many more with its carefully thought-out design and luxurious features. (It is) a testament to (our) unwavering efforts towards a carbon neutral environment.”

2022 Toyota Camry Hybrid Facelift Interior

In terms of styling changes, the 2022 Toyota Camry Hybrid facelift will come with a revised front fascia. It gets a new grille and a new front bumper. The sedan gets newly designed alloy wheels. It is offered in a new colour – Metal Stream Metallic. The other colour options include Platinum White Pearl, Silver Metallic, Graphite Metallic, Red Mica, Attitude Black and Burning Black.

Inside the cabin, the 2022 Toyota Camry hybrid facelift will have a floating-type 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support. The dashboard has black engineered wood effect film that has a composite pattern. It comes with high-end features such as a 10-way power adjustable driver seat, powered ORVMs & tilt-telescopic steering coloumn with memory function. Other features include a wireless smartphone charger, heads-up display, recliner rear seats, power assisted rear sunshade, and capacitive touch panel on the rear armrest for audio & AC control.

The 2022 Toyota Camry Hybrid facelift is powered by a 2.5-litre, 4-cylinder petrol hybrid dynamic force engine, which is coupled to a powerful motor generator. The powertrain offers a combined out of 160kW (218PS). The company is offering eight years or 1.6 lakh kms warranty on vehicle’s hybrid battery.

It is offered in 3 driving modes – Sport, Eco and Normal. In the Sport mode, the dynamic force engine improves acceleration response by non-linear throttle control. The Camry hybrid is based on the Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA).

The new sedan comes equipped with several high-end safety and security features such as nine airbags, Parking Assist with Back Guide Monitor, Clearance & Back Sonar, Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Traction Control, Hill Start Assist Control, Electronic Parking Brake with Brake Hold Function, & Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).
