Honda 2-wheeler India has launched the 2022 Honda CB300R at a starting price of Rs 2.77 lakh (ex-showroom). The locally assembled motorcycle was first showcased at the India Bike Week (IBW).
The 2022 Honda CB300R is powered by a 286cc, 4-valve DOHC engine that is capable of producing 31.1bhp of power at 9,000rpm and a peak torque of 27.5Nm at 7,500rpm. This is slight increase in power compared to the BS4 model. In the BS4 form, this engine offers 30.45bhp at 8,000rpm. It is paired to a 6-speed gearbox. The 2022 Honda CB300R comes with a slip and assist clutch.
The 2022 Honda CB300R looks largely identical to the previous model; however, it gets some changes to keep things fresh in the market. The motorcycle is offered in new colours – Matte Steel Black & Pearl Spartan Red. It gets gold finish on the fork and blacked-out headlight bezel and radiator shrouds. The motorcycle also gets a revised exhaust end can for a sportier look.
The new motorcycle comes equipped with all LED lighting system and a new LCD display. The display offers a gear position indicator and shift light. Based on the same frame, the new CB300R gets USD front forks and 7-step preload adjustable monoshock at the rear. The wheelbase has been increased by 8mm to 1,352mm, while the kerb weight is reduced by 1kg to 146kg.
