MG Motors has revealed the new ZS Electric for the international market. The 2022 MG ZS Electric has received cosmetic design changes and updated powertrain. It is also expected to arrive in our market in the next 1 year.
2022 MG ZS electric will be offered with a choice of two trim levels – Comfort and Luxury – and two battery variants. The vehicle will have a 70 Kwh long rage battery, which is claimed to offer a range of 440km compared to the 263km from the previous model. The SUV will also receive a 50.3 kWh standard range battery with 320km range.
In addition to the increased battery capacity, the new MG ZS EV can also charge faster. The Long Range version is equipped with an 11 kW 3-phase on-board as standard. The 72kWh version can be charged from 0-100 percent in 10 hours 30 minutes using a 7kW AC charger. Using 100kW DC fast charger, the battery can be charged in just 42 minutes.
The 2022 MG ZS electric comes equipped with a newly developed MG iSMART connectivity system, which also offers a connection through a smartphone app, with which various functions can be controlled remotely. The SUV gets a wireless phone charger, a digital instrument console and a new 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system that replaces the 8-inch unit in the outgoing model.
The new model comes with slim headlamps with integrated LED DRLS (Daytime Running Lamps) and the LED tail-lamps. The SUV gets revised bumpers and new set of alloy wheels. The new model gets new body-coloured, covered front grille, which replaces the traditional grille in the outgoing model.
