2022 Maruti Alto K10 Design Changes Revealed – Images, Video

Maruti Suzuki has dropped yet another teaser video of the new-generation Alto K10 hatchback. The teaser video shows its updated front and rear profile along with a glimpse of its interior. The new 2022 Maruti Alto K10 features a larger hexagonal front grille, revised front bumper with thinner air dam and larger bulbous headlamps. Its side profile seems to be more or less similar to the existing model, expect the new wheel covers.

From the rear, the new Alto K10 shares resemblance to the next-generation Celerio. It has squarish taillamps. The chrome treatment on the lower bumper, chrome highlights on the window line and a chrome strip on the lower door handles will be exclusively offered on the range-topping trim. As per leaked information, the Maruti Alto 2022 will be made available in 6 paint schemes – Granite Grey, Solid White, Sizzling Red, Earth Gold, Silky Silver and Speedy Blue.

A few noticeable updates will also be made inside the cabin. The new 2022 Maruti Alto K10 will offer a floating touchscreen infotainment system and a semi digital instrument cluster. Under the hood, the new Maruti Alto 2022 will employ a new 998cc, naturally aspirated K10C petrol engine. The motor will deliver a top power of 66bhp at 5,500rpm and 89Nm of torque at 3,500rpm. Both manual and AMT gearboxes will be on offer. The existing 796cc, 3-cylinder F8D petrol motor will also be on offer.

Dimensionally, the 2022 Alto K10 will be bigger than the current generation. It’s overall length, width and height will measure 3530mm, 1490mm and 1520mm respectively. The hatch will sit on 2380mm long wheelbase. The next-generation model will also switch to the new Heartect platform. The model lineup will include 4 trims – Std, LXi, VXi and VXi+ (8 manual and 4 automatic variants).
