The first official teaser of the new 2022 Mahindra XUV300 was recently released by the carmaker. The teaser shows the SUV’s updated model and says “0 – Thrill in a blink of an eye”. While its official launch date is yet to be announced, the new XVU300 is likely to hit showrooms during 2022 festive season (possibly in September). The facelifted model will witness noticeable changes in terms of design and engine mechanism.

The new XUV300 will have more turbo power than before. It will come with the new 1.2L turbo petrol T-GDI mStallion motor that will deliver power worth 130bhp and 230Nm of torque. This will be 20bhp more powerful and 30Nm torqueier than the existing 1.2L gasoline unit. At present, the XUV300 petrol offers a peak power of 110bhp. The 1.5L diesel engine, that’s good enough for 115bhp and 300Nm, will continue to be on offer. Transmission choices will include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed AMT. The AMT unit comes with a creep function that enables the vehicle move forward at a slow speed and the brake pedal isn’t pressed.

Most of the design updates will be made at the front end. The latest teaser image confirms that the new 2022 Mahindra XUV300 will feature a rectangular grille with chrome inserts and Mahindra’s new Twin Peaks logo placed in the centre of it. It seems like the triple-pod headlamps with L-shaped LED DRLs are carried forward from the existing model. The 2022 XUV300 comes with a new pair of 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels.
