The homegrown SUV maker, Mahindra has revealed 5 new Born Electric SUVs under the XUV.e and BE range. The new born EVs will be based on the brand’s new INGLO EV skateboard platform. The XUV.e range includes the XUV.e8 and XUV.e9, while the BE range will comprise of 3 SUVs – BE.05, BE.07 and the BE.09. The company will start selling the BE models from October 2025, while the XUV.e8 electric SUV will arrive in December 2024.
Mahindra BE.05 – Launch By October 2025
Marketed as a Sports Electric Vehicle or an SEV, the Mahindra BE.05 electric SUV will be positioned above the soon-to-be-launched Mahindra XUV400. In terms of proportions, the new BE.05 electric SUV is 4,370mm long, 1,900mm wide and 1,635mm tall, and has a wheelbase of 2,775mm.
The new Sports Electric Vehicle comes with an aggressive front design, featuring an angular C-shaped headlamps and prominent airdams. It has sharp cuts and creases on the front along with a striking air-duct on the bonnet. The side profile of the Mahindra BE05 has large wheels and squared off wheel arches along with a glossy black treatment (Cladding). There is a prominent shoulder line that runs across the length. It comes with flush door handles and a sloping roofline that merges into the chunky rear-end. The SUV has a C-shaped tail-lamps and aggressive rear bumper.
Inside the cabin, the Mahindra BE.05 comes with a driver-focussed cabin. It comes with large twin touchscreens with no physical buttons for AC controls and other functions. It also gets a stylish two-spoke steering wheel with multiple controls and BE badge in the centre. Also on offer are a rotary control (Could Be For Drive Modes) and a large gear selector.
Mahindra BE.07 – Launch By October 2026
The new Mahindra BE.07 will be positioned somewhere between the BE05 and the XUV.e8 and will be based on the INGLO platform. Dimensionally, the new BE07 is 4,565mm in length, 1,900mm in width and 1,660mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,775mm.
The production version of the Mahindra BE.07 SUV is scheduled to be launched in October 2026. While the BE.05 comes with coupe-SUV like design, the new BE.07 SUV features a traditional SUV styling. The new models will have similarities at the front, as it also has C-shaped headlights. Moreover, the tail-lights are also similar to those of the BE.05. It also gets large wheel arches and flush door handles.
The Mahindra BE.07 will come with a technically advanced cabin with no physical buttons. It features a giant screen that covers the entire dashboard. This mid-sized EV also has a large panoramic sunroof.
Mahindra BE.09 – Launch – NA
The company hasn’t release the exact launch timeline for the new BE.09 electric vehicle. Adding to it, the company has also not revealed the dimensions of the new SUV. However, it will be based on the same INGLO platform and will be positioned above the BE.07 in terms of size and pricing.
Similar to the BE.05, the new Mahindra BE.09 is a proper Coupe-SUV. It looks like a coupe version of the BE.07 and features an upright front design. The SUV comes with a prominent coupe-like sloping roofline. Mahindra confirms that the BE.09 will be a four-seater model.
