The launch of the new 2022 Jeep Compass Trailhawk facelift is reported to be postponed to March. Earlier, it was slated to hit roads in February 2022. The updated model will receive a few noticeable changes inside and out, while the engine setup will remain intact. The latest spy images reveal that the new Compass Trailhawk will feature newly-designed headlamps and new diamond cut alloy wheels. The front and rear bumpers will also be revised to improve its approach and departure angles.
Design elements such as black finish on A, B and C pillars, black decals on the hood, red finish on window beltline, roof and roof rails will further enhance its sporty appearance. There will be 4X4 and Trailhawk badge at the back. Similar to the regular Compass facelift, the 2022 Jeep Compass Trailhawk will offer a new, bigger 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with UConnect 5 software supporting Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and voice recognition.
The list of features will also include a newly-designed dashboard with soft touch leather stitching, instrument console with new inserts, a new steering wheel, a 360 degree parking camera, ventilated seats, wireless smartphone charging and connected car tech.
As mentioned above, the new 2022 Jeep Compass Trailhawk facelift will continue to use the same 2.0L Multijet diesel engine producing a maximum power of 170bhp and 350Nm of torque. The motor will be paired to a 9-speed automatic gearbox. The SUV will come with an Activ Drive 4X4 system, Rock mode and hill descent control.
In other updates, the American automaker is ready to foray into the 7-seater SUV segment with the Jeep Meridian by mid 2022. The SUV will be powered by a 2.0L, 4-cylinder turbo diesel engine that’s good for 173bhp and 200Nm. The oil burner is likely to be boosted with a 48V mild hybrid system. The Meridian will be based on the Jeep Commander that’s currently on sale in the Brazilian market.
