American SUV maker, Jeep is all set to launch the new Compass Trailhawk in the Indian market. Ahead of the India launch, Jeep dealers have started accepting pre-orders for the new Trailhawk for Rs 50,000. The 2022 Jeep Compass Trailhawk is expected to take place in the first week of March 2022.
The 2022 Jeep Compass Trailhawk is based on the facelifted Compass; however, it comes with enhanced off-roading capabilities. The new model comes with all the features that are accessible in the top-spec Model S variant of the Compass.
The 2022 Jeep Compass Trailhawk variant will receive noticeable design changes and upgraded interior; however, it will retain the existing engine setup. The SUV gets newly designed headlamps and new diamond cut alloy wheels. There could be revised bumpers for better approach and departure angles.
The new Compass Trailhawk comes with blacked-out A, B and C-pillars. It will have black decals on the hood and red treatment on window beltline and on roof & roof rails. There will be 4×4 and Trailhawk badging at the back.
Inside the cabin, the new trail-rated Compass comes with a new 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with UConnect 5 software with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and voice recognition support. It comes with a new dashboard design with soft touch leather stitching, new instrument console, a multi-functional steering wheel, a 360 degree parking camera, ventilated seats, connected car tech, wireless smartphone charging and others.
The 2022 Jeep Compass Trailhawk is powered by the same 2.0-litre Multijet diesel engine that is capable of producing 170bhp and a peak torque of 350Nm. It will be paired to a 9-speed automatic gearbox, which sends power to all-4 wheels via Activ Drive 4×4 system. The vehicle also gets Rock mode and hill descent control.
