2022 Hyundai Venue Waiting Period 3 Months; 15,000 Bookings

Hyundai India recently revealed prices of the updated Venue model lineup that start from Rs 7.53 lakh. Speaking on the sideline of the launch event, Tarun Garg, Director of Sales, Marketing & Services, Hyundai Motor India has confirmed that the SUV’s new model received nearly 15,000 pre-bookings. Interestingly, select variants of the new 2022 Hyundai Venue facelift have already command a waiting period of up to 16 weeks.

At present, the company has a total backlog of 135,000 units across its product line, thanks to the global semiconductor shortage. There are 25,000 pending orders of the pre-facelift Venue that will be cleared before starting deliveries of the new Venue. He also revealed that some of Venue customers have converted their purchases from the old model to the new.

New Hyundai Venue Prices

The new 2022 Hyundai Venue comes in multiple monotone and dual-tone colour schemes. Buyers have to pay an additional sum of Rs 15,000 for dual-tone model. Most of the updates have been inside the cabin. The new Venue facelift offers dual-tone interior with the segment-first reclining rear seats. The new four-spoke steering wheel has been borrowed from the Creta.

The updated 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with in-built navigation, 60 connected car features, Alexa and Google voice assistant, OTA (over-the-air) updates, wireless phone charger, dual USB C-slots and paddle shifters are also on offer. On the safety front, the subcompact SUV offers 6 airbags, vehicle stability management, electronic stability control and hill assist control.

2022 Hyundai Venue interior

The higher variants are exclusively offered with three drive modes – Eco, Normal and Sport. These modes can be adjusted via a new rotary dial integrated on the centre console. Similar to the pre-facelift, the new 2022 Hyundai Venue can be had with three engines – 1.2L petrol, 1.0L turbo-pertrol and 1.5L diesel. Transmissions also remain unchanged – 5-speed manual, (1.2L petrol and 1.5L diesel only), iMT and DCT automatic (1.0L turbo petrol only) and 6-speed manual (diesel only).
