2022 Hyundai Venue Facelift Testing Begins – Key Details

Launched in May 2019, the Hyundai Venue subcompact SUV has been doing really well in terms of sales for the South Korean automaker in India. Now, the company is ready to give it a mid-life update with minor cosmetic and feature upgrades. In fact, the 2022 Hyundai Venue facelift testing has already been commenced in Korea. The updated model is likely to hit Indian roads sometime next year.

The first spy images show the heavily camouflaged test mule of the vehicle covering most of the design details. Though, one can notice the LED projector headlamps with LED DRLs, new front grille (similar to the new-gen Tucson) and the newly designed alloy wheels.

As of now, interior details of the new 2022 Hyundai Venue facelift are not available. Though, the compact SUV is likely to come with the updated touchscreen infotainment system, new instrument cluster and new fabric upholstery. The automaker might also add a few extra goodies to the new model.

New Hyundai Venue 2022

 Things under the hood might remain unchanged. Similar to the current model, the new Hyundai Venue 2022 facelift will continue to come with three engine options – 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol, 1.0L turbocharged petrol and 1.5L diesel. While the naturally aspirated petrol unit makes 83bhp and 114Nm of torque, the turbo petrol motor is good enough for 120bhp and 172Nm.

The oil burner pushes out a peak power of 100bhp and 240Nm of torque. The compact SUV model lineup will have transmissions on offer – a 5-speed manual (1.5L NA petrol only), a 6-speed manual (1.5L diesel and 1.0L turbo petrol only), iMT (turbo petrol only) and a DCT automatic (turbo petrol only).
