2022 Hyundai Creta New Spy Images Reveal Tucson-like Front Design

Hyundai has recently released couple of teasers of the new Creta facelift, which is scheduled to make debut at Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show 2021 in November. The 2022 Hyundai Creta facelift has been spotted testing multiple times in Korea as well as in Indonesia. The latest set of spy images reveal the design changes on offer.

The new spy images provide a clear look at the prominent changes in the 2022 Hyundai Creta. The front design is completely new, featuring brand’s new Sensuous Sportiness design philosophy. It features a new front grille that has unique triangular texture that’s mirrored left to right. The LED DRLs are integrated into the grille opening that hide into the front when not illuminated. The main headlamp is now shifted further below on the lower bumper. It has a sculpted bonnet, aggressive bumper with a wider air intake and a faux skid plate.

The side profile looks identical to th existing model, and will offer black plastic cladding, strong beltline and ORVMs with integrated blinkers. It is likely to get a new paint scheme, which was debuted in the new-gen Tucson SUV. Alloys design looks similar to the existing model.

The rear profile is also likely to receive some changes, which is likely to be inspired by the Russian-spec Creta. The 2022 Hyundai Creta is likely to miss out on the light bar that connects the two tail-lights. It will retain the split LED tail-lights.

The 2022 Hyundai Creta facelift is likely to get new features that are missing in the current model. It could get a 360 degree camera and HUD (Head-Up Display). The new model could also get ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) with features like blind spot monitoring, lane assist, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, front collision warning and others.

The Indonesian-spec model is likely to get the 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine that produces 113bhp and 145Nm of torque. Transmission options are likely to include a 6-speed manual and a CVT automatic.

The India-spec model will share the engine options with the existing variant, which includes a 113bhp, 1.5L NA petrol, a 113bhp, 1.5L turbo-diesel and a 138bhp, 1.4L turbo-petrol. The 2022 Hyundai Creta turbo petrol will come with a 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox. The turbo-diesel engine will come with 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox options.
