2022 Ford Endeavour To Get Off-Road Focused Wildtrak X Variant

Ford Motor Company is readying the next generation Ranger pick-up and the Everest (New Endeavour), which will be launched in the second half of 2022. In fact, the new Ranger has already been caught testing multiple times. According to the Australian media, the 2022 Ford Endeavour and Ranger pick-up will come with new engine options along with a petrol plug-in hybrid.

Adding to it, the 2022 Ford Endeavour aka New Ford Everest will receive an off-road focused Wildtrack X variant. The report claims that the new model will be offered in six trim levels with a mix of two- and 4-wheel drive models. The six variants are – Ambiente, Trend, Trend Sport, Wildtrak X, Titanium and Platinum.

The new 2022 Ford Endeavour Wiltrak X variant will be offered with 4-wheel drive system as standard. The SUV will be powered by a new 3.0-litre V6 turbo-diesel engine as standard. However, it could get a Plug-in hybrid engine as an optional. This variant is reportedly to get a leather/fabric mix seat material for rugged appeal, Bilstein shock absorbers, BF Goodrich all-terrain tyres and rock slider along the sides of the car.

The 2022 Ford Endeavour is reportedly to be offered with 3 engine options – 2 diesel and a new petrol plug-in hybrid. The 3.2L 5-cylinder engine will be discontinued. It will be offered with a 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo-diesel engine producing 210bhp and 500Nm of torque. The Wildtrack X variant will receive a new 3.0L 6-cylinder turbo-diesel engine producing 250bhp and 600Nm of torque. The 6-cylinder diesel engine is currently offered in the American-spec Ford F-150.

It will also get a new 2.3-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder petrol engine with a plug-in hybrid system, which is likely to offer around 270bhp and 680Nm of torque.

The upcoming model is reportedly to receive the brand’s SYNC4 infotainment system with a large new 12.8-inch vertical infotainment screen. The system will be compatible with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with remote connectivity. The vehicle will also receive connected car technology.
