Bajaj Auto is reported to launch the new Pulsar N160 in the second half of June 2022. Its official launch date and details are yet to be revealed. The bike is likely to come with improved styling and an all-new engine. The new 2022 Bajaj Pulsar N160, however, will use the same underpinning. The bike is currently available with a 160.3cc motor that’s good for 17.2PS and 14.6Nm. Transmission duties are done by a 5-speed gearbox.
The new 2022 Bajaj Pulsar N160 could be high on fuel efficiency and performance. Its suspension setup is likely to be borrowed from the Pulsar 250 that comes with the telescopic front and a monoshock unit at the rear. Braking power will come from the front and rear disc brakes along with the standard single channel ABS (anti-lock braking system).
Design and styling of the new Pulsar N160 will be heavily inspired by its 250cc sibling – Pulsar N250. The bike will feature projector LED headlamp and eyebrow-shaped LED DRLs at the front. Its body panels, trapezoidal rear view mirrors, seat design, swingarm, grab rails and taillamp will be similar to the Plusar N250. Unlike the Pulsar N250 that has upswept side exhaust, the new N160 will have an underbelly exhaust. The bikemaker might introduce 2022 Bajaj Pulsar N160 in new colour options.
In other updates, Bajaj Auto is planning to expand its electric two-wheeler model lineup in coming years. The company aims to launch a range of new EVs with different powertrain configurations across different price segment. The new Bajaj electric scooter could be named ‘Bajaj Blade’ as the company recently trademarked the nameplate. It’s likely to feature a larger battery pack and a more powerful electric motor than the e-Chetak.
