The long-awaited 2022 Audi Q7 facelift has finally been launched in the Indian market. The new model is available in two variants – Premium Plus and Technology – priced at Rs 79.99 lakh and Rs 88.33 lakh respectively. These are introductory prices and will increase in near future.
The 2022 Audi Q7 facelift comes with design changes, revised interior and a new petrol engine. The updated model was first introduced in global markets in 2019. The India-spec model receive similar design changes with newer Audi’s look. It gets a larger octagonal, single-frame grille, which is flanked by revised headlamp setup with new DRLS (daytime running lamps). It has a new front bumper with a larger side air-intakes.
The rear profile of the SUV has also been updated. It comes with new tail-lights, and there’s a chrome strip that runs across the width of the hatch. Thanks to the new bumpers, the overall length of the SUV has increased by 11mm to 5,063mm. The 7-seater SUV will measure 5,063mm in length, 1,970mm in width, 1,741mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,995mm.
The cabin of the SUV has received major changes. The 2022 Audi Q7 facelift gets a new twin-touchscreen MMI infotainment system. There is a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system placed on the top half of the dashboard, while an 8.6-inch touchscreen to control AC system is placed below in the central console. It retains the Audi’s Virtual Cockpit digital instrument console.
The dashboard has gloss black trim and chrome enhancement along with brushed aluminium treatment. In terms of features, the new Q7 gets a panoramic sunroof, a 4-zone climate control, electrically adjustable front seats, ambient lighting, etc. The SUV has eight airbags, ESC, lane keep assist with steering intervention and others.
The new model is powered by a 3.0-litre, turbocharged V6 petrol engine that churns out 340PS of power and 500Nm of torque. The engine will be benefited with a 48V mild-hybrid system. An 8-speed automatic gearbox driving the power to all-4 wheels via Quattro AWD system comes as standard.
