German luxury carmaker Audi is gearing up for the launch of the new 2022 Audi A8 L sedan in the Indian market. It will be the brand’s second launch this year. The company has officially started accepting bookings for the flagship sedan. Interested buyers can pre-book the new Audi A8 L online or at authorised dealership by paying an initial token amount of Rs 10 Lakh.
Commenting on the commencement of 2022 Audi A8 L bookings, Mr. Balbir Singh Dhillon, Head of Audi India, said, “Today, we open bookings for our flagship sedan – the new Audi A8 L. The Audi A8 L has a loyal fan base in India and we are confident that this beautiful sedan will continue its strong performance. With the new Audi A8 L, we are continuing our focus on flagship cars in our product portfolio, as we continue to witness good demand.”
The 2022 Audi A8 L comes with a sporty stance, featuring a larger grille and a more aggressive mesh pattern and a bolder bumper. The grille is surrounded by a thick chrome and the chrome treatment is also offered on the mesh pattern. There is a thick chrome strip that surrounds the fog lamp housing and runs across the width of the front bumper. The vehicle gets bigger digital Matrix LED headlamps and new OLED tail lamps.
The 2022 Audi A8 L interior won’t receive significant changes. However, it gets an optional set of larger 10-inch touchscreen as an optional. There is a smartphone-sized rear touchscreen remote on the centre armrest to control the seat recline and other functions. For music lovers, the luxurious sedan has 23-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system. It will continue to offer features like four-zone climate control system, powered seats, matrix LED interior lighting and connected car tech.
The new A8 L will be powered by a 3.0-litre TFSI engine with a 48V mild hybrid system. This engine is capable of producing 340bhp of power and 540Nm of torque. It will also get the legendary all-wheel drive system and predictive air suspension. Audi will also offer several customization packages including a Rear Relaxation package with recliner, foot massager and several other stand-out features.
