2021 Kia Seltos Gravity Edition Launching Tomorrow

Kia Motors will launch the upgraded Seltos SUV in the Indian market tomorrow. The company will introduce the new 2021 Kia Seltos Gravity Edition, which is already on sale in the Korean market. Adding to it, Kia will also launch two new variants – iMT HTK+ and Turbo GTX (O).

The Seltos Gravity will be the top-of-the-line variant, and will come with subtle design changes and upgraded interior. In terms of design changes, the SUV will get bespoke, chromed front grille with 3D elements, new dual-tone 18-inch machined alloy wheels, and silver finish to the ORVMs along with door garnish and rear skid plate.

Inside the cabin, the new Kia Seltos Gravity Edition gets an exclusive grey colour scheme. The SUV is likely to get new forward collision prevention assistance system and rear passenger notification. The SUV will retain most of the features available in the existing Seltos such as a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, UVO connected car tech, premium Bose sound system, automatic AC, etc. The vehicle is also likely to get lane keep assist and high-beam assist function.

The iMT gearbox will be offered on the naturally-aspirated version of the Kia Seltos, which is powered by a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine. This engine produces 113bhp and 145Nm of torque. The current model is available with 6-speed MT and a CVT automatic gearbox.

The new Seltos GTX (O) will be the new top-end turbo-petrol variant, which will also receive a panoramic sunroof. This variant is powered by a 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine producing 138bhp of power and 250Nm of torque. This variant will also receive a diesel version, which will receive a 113bhp, 1.5-litre turbo-diesel engine. While the turbo-petrol unit is available with a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual clutch automatic gearbox, the oil burner is available with the 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque convertor automatic transmission options.
