2021 Kia Carnival Launched; Variants & Logo Updated

Kia India has launched the new 2021 Kia Carnival MPV in the Indian market. First launched at 2020 Auto Expo, the Carnival was the second Kia in our market. It directly rival the top-spec variants of the Toyota Innova Crysta.

Kia is already selling the 4th generation Carnival based on new platform in select international markets. However, Kia India is selling the third generation model which has recently received some changes and new features. The company has now introduced the 2021 Kia Carnival, which is available at a starting price of Rs 24.95 lakh.

The 2021 Kia Carnival MPV is offered in 4 trim levels – Premium, Prestige, Limousine and Limousine Plus – and in total of 6 variants. The MPV is priced between Rs 24.95 lakh and Rs 33.99 lakh. It is available in 3 seating configurations – 7-seat, 8-seat and 9-seat. The Limousine & Limousine Plus are available as 7-seater.

Speaking on the launch, Tae-Jin Park, Executive Director and Chief Sales & Business Strategy Officer, Kia India said, “The refreshed Carnival is a part of Kia’s efforts towards offering customers an exceptional product experience that surpasses all expectations. Since its launch, the Carnival has been able to create a niche for itself in the Indian market and with this product intervention, we plan to provide even greater comfort and convenience to buyers.”

Kia has already sold over 8,000 units of the Carnival MPV in our market. The new Limousine trim comes with features like leatherette seats with leg support in the 2nd row, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Kia UVO connected car tech and ORA map updates. Other features include a 10.1-inch rear-seat entertainment system alongside a smart air purifier with virus protection.

The top-spec Limousine Plus variant has Harman Kardon 8-speaker audio system, 10-way electrically adjustable driver seat, ventilated seats, leather wrapped steering and gear lever, and TPMS.

The MPV gets new 18-inch crystal cut alloy wheels as standard. The Prestige and Limousine trims are offered with premium leatherette seats. The 2021 Kia Carnival is powered by a 2.2-litre turbocharged diesel engine that churns out 200PS of maximum power and 440Nm of torque. It is paired to an 8-speed automatic gearbox.
