Earlier this year, the American SUV manufacturer introduced the 2021 Jeep Compass facelift with some significant exterior and interior upgrades. Now, the company is gearing up to launch its updated off-roading oriented Trailhawk variant in coming months. Recently, the new Compass Trailhawk was spotted testing without any camouflage in Ladakh. The spy images reveals that the model carries newly-designed LED headlamps, tweaked front and rear bumpers with improved approach and departure angle.
The new set of diamond-cut alloy wheels mark distinction to its side profile. At the back, the SUV has 4X4 and Trailhawk badge. The black decals on the hood, black finish on A, B and C pillars and red finish on window beltline, roof and roof rails add more to its sporty looks. The spotted model was painted in dual-tone Black and Red colour scheme.
Interior updates of the new 2021 Jeep Compass Trailhawk facelift will be similar to the regular model. It will feature a new, larger 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with UConnect 5 software supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto along with voice recognition. Other key highlights will include a new steering wheel, connected car tech, a 360 degree parking camera, wireless smartphone charging, ventilated seats, instrument console with new inserts, newly-designed dashboard with soft touch leather stitching and more. For power, the new 2021 Jeep Compass Trailhawk facelift will use the same 2.0L Multijet diesel engine paired to a 9-speed automatic gearbox. The oil burner makes a peak power of 170bhp and 350Nm of torque. It will come with an Activ Drive 4X4 system, Rock mode and hill descent control.
Currently, the standard Jeep Compass is available within the price range of 17.19 lakh – Rs 28.49 lakh (all, ex-showroom). The Compass Trailhawk variant is likely to be slightly pricier than before. It’s official launch date and details are yet to be announced. Though, it’s likely to hit showrooms towards the end of 2021.
